Market

Warehouse Market is entering its 8th year operating on Isleville St in North End Halifax. It started as an indoor space to distribute produce, livestock products, and seafood on Thursday afternoons. Now it is run by Abundant Acres Farm as a 4 day-per week Market with a fantastic staff of people who really care about food and community. Running a Market AND a farm require a lot of attention and very good communication. Over the years, the farm has delegated Market management and development to staff. They have a lot of ownership and are empowered to make decisions in consultation with the farm.

This Market is unique because it offers a display of items available for purchase, and items indicated by a green dot on the label that Farm Share members can select as an item for the share they pick up every week.
